Puerto Vallarta Villa Rentals with Chef Service – Villa Las Amapas Review
Some friends of ours had recently stayed at a luxury Puerto Vallarta villa rental and they did not stop raving about their trip. So we decided to try it ourselves when it was time for our annual family reunion last February.
We were a fairly large group of 14 people, which kind of limited our options. Our agent Rocio was very helpful and narrowed it down to a few luxury vacation rentals. We ended up booking Villa Amapas, which actually consists of two villas located right next to each other, Villa Amapas North and South. We all flew in from different parts of the US, and everybody arrived at different times, but the rental agents arranged quick and comfortable airport transfers for all of us, which is actually included in the price of the villa rental.
The two villas are located in the area of Conchas Chinas, which is actually kind of secluded while still being close enough to Downtown Puerto Vallarta. We did walk there a few times; it’s a nice little walk along the beach, maybe 15-20 miles. Downtown has a bunch of really nice restaurant and cute shops and it’s a great place for people watching. Conchas Chinas has some really nice beaches that were easily accessible from the villa.
The two villas were extremely spacious, with three bedrooms in one villa and four in the other. All bedrooms had TVs, en-suite bathrooms and feature beautiful ocean views. The interior of both villas was very well appointed with incredible attention to details and some really cool unique artwork. All the finishes and the furniture were extremely high quality and the villas were fully equipped, with multimedia equipment, Internet, accessories, water sports equipment etc., leaving nothing to be desired.
The outdoor areas were spectacular, with amazing views of the ocean from the infinity pools and the lounge areas. The beach is located just a few steps below the property and it’s absolutely beautiful, with really cool rock formations, clear blue water and a lot of colorful fish.
We did spend a lot of time on the beach and in the pool, but we also explored Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas. One morning, a couple of us went for a round of golf at the El Tigre Golf Course in Nuevo Vallarta. The villa’s staff was very helpful with making the reservation and arranging the transfer to the golf course for us. The drive was longer than expected, about 30 minutes, but we had a lot of fun and the course was very challenging and well kept. After that, we had lunch at Nuevo Vallarta, which is also a very nice area with quite a few very nice restaurants and bars. We really enjoyed it, so we decided to go back a few nights later with the entire group and again we had a great time.
The villa’s staff was absolutely amazing, always friendly and very courteous. The chef really catered to everyone’s wishes. We had some very picky eaters in our group, but they made sure nobody left the table hungry and the bartenders and waiters always kept our glasses full. The concierge was also very helpful and knowledgeable, organizing excursion and transfers for us as well as recommending restaurants and points of interest. All in all, we had the best time ever, actually, we already started planning our next year’s reunion and most likely we’ll end up booking Villa Amapas again. I really can’t say enough good things about the team from Villa Experience and the staff at the villa; they really went above and beyond to make this a trip of a lifetime.Mas Informacion
