Recognized as one of the best and most luxurious hotels in all of Mexico, besides hosting the only PGA Tour golf tournament in the country: The OHL Classic, Mayakoba Resort introduces now its latest impressive event: The Mayakoba Masters of Food, Wine & Golf.
From June 2nd to 5th, the Riviera Maya will host a collection of stars from the international culinary scene in a spectacular celebration of sport, wine, and gastronomy. The event presented by American Express, will be the first of its class in the Riviera Maya and will include wine & liquor tastings, exclusive interactive dining tables, after-hours parties and, of course, a golf tournament at El Camaleon Golf Course designed by Greg Norman.
The Mayakoba Masters aspires to do for the Riviera Maya what the Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic did for Riviera Nayarit, namely to put it on top of the Mexican culinary scene and make of it a reference when talking about gastronomy and luxury in Mexico. It’s not a coincidence that Carl Emberson, VP of Operations and Marketing at Mayakoba used to be the General Manager of The St. Regis Resort Punta Mita when the Classic took off.
Among the renowned international chefs attending this world-class event are Antonio De Livier (Mexico City), Montse Estruch (Le Cingle, Barcelona), Richard Sandoval & Abraham Salum (Komali Restaurant, Dallas), Andrew Ormsby (The Tower Cityplace, Dallas), Diane DiMeo (barRachos, New York City), Fernando Trocca (Sucre, Buenos Aires), Felipe Donnelly ( Comodo, New York), Maru Botana (Argentina), and Paola Carosella (Arturito, Sao Paulo).
An amazing constellation of culinary stars that will offer their best during the four days of The Masters taking place at the three luxury hotels of the Mayakoba Resort: Banyan Tree, Rosewood and Fairmont Mayakoba, as well as the brand new location for events El Pueblito Mayakoba.
The program of The Mayakoba Masters of Food, Wine & Golf include the Mayakoba Cup Golf Tournament, interactive culinary stations along the golf course offering gourmet food, tequila tastings and handcrafted beer. There will be author cuisine dinners, the Mayakoba Masters Supper Party by Veuve Clicquot; the Mayakoba Cup Awards Luncheon, just another excuse to eat and drink extraordinarily tasty stuff. El Pueblito will see a grand exhibition by the most exclusive brands of wine, beer, tequila and mezcal, and cuisine lessons imparted by the guest chefs of El Pueblito Cooking School. The closing party presented by Gourmet Awards and Accent at the Banyan Tree Mayakoba’s Sands Beach Club.
The Mayakoba Masters promises to be the event of the summer with a setting filled with class, luxury and style, as well as some of the best wining and dining experience in Mexico.
